SPARK Photo Festival's Mission / Vision
The SPARK Photo Festival promotes photographic arts to the community by providing an annual month-long event for photographers to display their work in public venues.
About Us
Since 2013, SPARK has hosted 100’s of artists displaying their art in venues across Peterborough City and County, Northumberland and City of Kawartha Lakes, both in traditional galleries and in some surprising spaces, such as shops, libraries, offices, cafés, restaurants, schools, and even outdoors, for the enjoyment of the community.
Year round activities include photography education, workshops, virtual and in-person experiences. We host an annual Juried Exhibit photography competition for Ontario photographers.
The SPARK Photo Festival is an incorporated not-for-profit organization supported by generous community funding. The Festival is run by a part-time paid Festival Director, volunteer Board of Directors and committee volunteers.
