About Us
The Rotaract Club of Peterborough is one of many youth led clubs, under the umbrella of Rotary International. Rotaract club members are young professionals ages 18+. We meet twice a month to exchange ideas, plan/host activities and projects, and socialize. As Rotaractors, we work diligently to serve local and international communities, while also developing critical leadership and professional skills for ourselves.
The Rotaract Club of Peterborough began meetings in August of 2014, as interested members came together alongside the Rotary Club of Peterborough and began the process of starting an official Rotaract Club. By mid 2015, the dream had become a reality.
While the Rotary Club of Peterborough is the official sponsor Club for the Rotaract Club of Peterborough, the Club has good relations with the Rotary Club of Kawartha, as well as the Rotary Club of Lakefield-Ennismore. As a Club, we have committed to working with several organizations within Peterborough, including the Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre, Peterborough Youth Emergency Shelter (YES), Habitat for Humanity, The One Roof Community Centre and Big Brothers, Big Sisters. Through fundraisers and hands-on service projects we continue to work toward the Rotaract Club of Peterborough’s goal of being a group of Youth helping Youth within the community.
