Organization Summary
pflag Canada is a national charitable organization that was founded by parents who needed help learning how to accept and support their 2SLGBTQ+ children. We are dedicated to supporting, educating, and advocating for 2SLGBTQ+ people and those who love them. Our chapters are for everyone from the 2SLGBTQ+ community including people of all sexual orientations, sexual identities, gender identities and gender expressions, families, friends and allies.

pflag Canada Peterborough Chapter’s Mission / Vision
In communities across the country, the Pflag Canada network provides peer support, education and advocacy for a Canada that affirms, respects and values all sexualities, genders and gender expressions. We know the challenges that 2SLGBTQ+ people face can be devastating. We want everyone to have access to the resources they need for themselves and to support a 2SLGBTQ+ loved one.
About Us
We have been locally operating for over two decades and now have a core team of about 15 members. With the direction from pflag Canada’s Board, we run a support email contact and phone line, providing information about other resources. We run monthly support meetings or “MeetUp’s”, special events such as Pride Brunch, and offer information displays and presentations.
