Volunteers with Lived Experience
The Council for Persons with Disabilitieseeks volunteers who identify as having lived experience with a disability to facilitate its many programs. CPD volunteers will have the opportunity to take part in our many programs including Time in My
Shoes- TiMS, an experiential learning program designed to provide participants insight into the challenges of living with a disability, the Community Accessibility Evaluation Program-CAEP, a first person review of Brick and Mortar or outdoor spaces for their current accessibility and Capable Con, a celebration of access and inclusion in our community. Most programs occur between 9 – 5, Monday to Friday with a few exceptions.
We ask volunteers to provide what hours they can, we are flexible!
