Specific Tasks / Responsibilities

Set Up/Tear Down – Moving items such as tables, chairs, tents and stage riser for set up. Putting lights up at the pavilion. Lots of walking. Physical strength is appreciated. If you are handy with zip-ties or snow fencing, then we are your crew.

Site Crew – throughout the weekend make sure that garbage and recycling are in order, and respond to any trouble-shooting needs.

Bucket Bridge – walking around the festival soliciting for donations.

Merchandise – sell PFF & artists merchandise. Can accommodate mobility restrictions. Basic math required. Volunteering from merchandise tent, in one location.

Eco team – dish washing, collecting and distributing plates & cutlery to food vendors.

Ambassadors – perimeter walking and communicating & connecting with volunteers and festival goers.

Parking – greeting drivers upon arrival & directing to parking, ensure no parking on rugby field. Parking hubs have tent and chair, mostly active position with lots of walking.

Cameron’s Pavilion – must have Smart Serve. Selling tickets & handling money. Stationary position under a tent/in the pavilion.

Children’s Village – must have a vulnerable sector check unless under 18. Facilitate activities such as crafts and face painting. Refill craft suppliers, bubbles and reset games. Mix of in sun and under shade, mix is sitting and standing.

Hospitality – provide a clean, welcoming environment for providing food and beverages in the backstage area for musicians and festival crew.

Checkpoints –  monitor access to backstage area to ensure only qualified individuals are allowed to enter this area, which is off limits to the general public.

Volunteer/Info Booth – When festival volunteers arrive for their shifts, you will check them in and provide their volunteer T-shirts. Answer questions from festival goers and maintain lost & found.

Support a successful Peterborough Folk Festival.

The Saturday and Sunday festival events are designed to be inclusive to all ages, with four stages of live music, an Artisan Village, a licensed beverage area and what we think is the best Children’s Village of any festival! Admission is free, with donations encouraged and appreciated to help this community event to continue.

Peterborough Folk Festival’s mandate is to foster the artistic and professional development of local culture.
