Community Impact
Telecare Peterborough handles more than 14,000 calls annually. Callers may choose to remain anonymous and the service is confidential. Callers and Volunteers come from all walks of life. Both benefit from the contact with an “in person” telephone call. The intent of Telecare Peterborough is to enhance emotional support and well being.
Volunteer Outcomes
Volunteers report intense personal satisfaction from being able to take time out of their lives to sit with and connect with another individual. They are honoured to receive the confidences of many callers.
