SolarFest volunteers are an essential part of Lakefield’s summer street festival. Volunteers help create a welcoming, safe, and enjoyable experience for residents, visitors, local businesses, and community partners throughout the event.
Volunteers support activities across Queen Street and Cenotaph Park. Responsibilities may include greeting visitors, providing information, assisting local vendors, supporting children’s activities, helping with event setup and cleanup, monitoring activity areas, and keeping festival spaces clean and organized.
Each volunteer works alongside the Volunteer Coordinator and designated area leads. Training and guidance are provided, and volunteers are assigned tasks based on the festival’s needs. Every role contributes to the success of SolarFest and helps ensure the event runs smoothly from start to finish.
No previous volunteer experience is required. We welcome enthusiastic, dependable, and friendly individuals who enjoy working with others and supporting community events. Volunteers should be comfortable interacting with the public and willing to assist wherever needed.
Volunteering at SolarFest is an excellent opportunity to meet new people, gain event experience, support local businesses, and give back to the Lakefield community. Whether you volunteer for a few hours or the entire day, your contribution helps create a memorable festival for everyone.
