We require a letter of reference from someone who is not a family member for our files.

We require a police check with Vulnerable Sector Screening before your first shift. We can provide a letter for volunteers.

We will have an orientation meeting hosted at Showplace.

Are you looking for a fun environment, buzzing with the excitement of live theatre, dance, concerts, and more? Are you a fan of the arts, looking to get involved? Would you like to be part of a unique social community, and be invited to exclusive events?

Showplace Performance Centre is currently accepting applications for new volunteers. We are looking for Front of House Volunteers to cover positions such as ushering, ticket-taking and bartending (for select volunteers; training available). Join our growing team of more than100 volunteers!

Community Impact

At Showplace, we host a myriad of productions from stand-up comedy, to rock concerts, dance competitions, musical theatre, and much more. Our goal is to provide excellent customer service for our patrons as we cultivate the performing arts scene in Peterborough.

Volunteer Outcomes

You can expect to see quality performances while serving the community, be invited to exclusive events, have unique training opportunities, and be part of a fantastic community of over 100 dedicated volunteers. Community service hours are available for students.
