Visit with client on a regular basis, preferably once a week
Call the client if you expect to be late or are unable to visit
Represent Community Care in a friendly, professional manner, respecting the boundaries of the position
Report any problems or concerns to a staff member
Work within the parameters of your defined role

Report your volunteer hours as requested
Wear your ID badge visible for clients to identify

Follow Routine Practices for infection control

Attend meetings and training opportunities
Caution: Volunteers are not to provide personal care to clients, such as: lifting, transferring, toileting, or dispensing medications. Friendly Visitors do not drive clients.

Goals & Objectives

Our Friendly Visiting Volunteers are great company for either a phone call or a weekly visit. Knowing someone cares enough to visit provides security in many ways.
