Dog Care Support Coordinator

The Dog Care Support Coordinator works with other volunteers in the Seniors Program and with the Pawd Leader. This core program provides older adults with assistance with everyday tasks to help keep people and their dogs together. With the help of our volunteers, ElderDog provides a range of assistance and support, including: Assisting seniors with dog walking Delivering or picking up dog food from a grocery or pet store Providing light tasks associated with animal hygiene Grooming such as nail clipping or help with brushing Transportation to and from vet or groomer Temporary foster care during hospitalization Keeping love in the home is generally best for dogs and their older human companions. Ultimately, they both benefit from stability and companionship. This program is critical in bridging the gaps that older adults face in caring for and keeping their dogs. Our goal is to enable those living at home and facing challenges with dog care to continue benefiting from their relationship with their canine companions.
