Volunteer Peterborough needs an in-house writer to share all the knowledge and success stories generated by our work. With more than 2,600 volunteers and dozens of organizations, the stories seems endless. We seek a talented writer who can capture the magic of what we do and share it via newspaper columns, blogs and newsletters. This content will inspire more people to contribute their time and talents within the Peterborough region. We aspire to make volunteering infectious by matching people with the right organizations and roles for them. This means celebrating the people who already do this work while recruiting others. It takes ongoing promotion to do this work. Therefore, we seek a clear communicator who understands human dynamics and how to speak to a person’s heart. We could ask AI to do this but we believe in the human spirit to do even better. This person will work with the Community Engagement Committee, which meets the second Monday of the month at 5 p.m. for 45-60 minutes. If you use AI for your writing projects, this role is not for you. We want a genuine writer who can adapt as we do.
